SMS Consent
TrustLine SMS Consent
TrustLine enables conservator-approved contacts to exchange conversational SMS messages with protected persons who use TrustLine.
You should only opt in if you personally own or control the mobile phone number you are enrolling and you want to receive conversational SMS messages through TrustLine.
How SMS consent works
A conservator may approve a protected person to contact you through TrustLine. Before TrustLine allows outbound SMS to your phone number, you must opt in.
You can opt in using either method below.
Option 1: Opt in by texting TrustLine first
From your own mobile phone, text:
START [your unique code]
to:
[TrustLine Opt-In Number]
Example:
START 8F3K
TrustLine will verify your phone number, your unique code, and the conservator-approved relationship. If verified, TrustLine will send you a confirmation message.
Option 2: Opt in on this web page
Enter your mobile phone number and unique code below. Review the SMS disclosure, then check the consent box and select “Allow SMS.”
Mobile phone number:
[__________]
Unique opt-in code:
[__________]
SMS disclosure
By selecting “Allow SMS” or by texting START [code] to [TrustLine Opt-In Number], I agree to receive conversational SMS messages through TrustLine from conservator-approved contacts.
Messages may include free-form, user-generated conversational messages. Messages may come from phone numbers assigned by TrustLine to conservator-approved contacts. Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and may be revoked at any time. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.

What happens after you opt in
After you opt in, TrustLine records your phone number, opt-in source, timestamp, consent text version, and relationship code. TrustLine blocks outbound SMS unless both of the following are active:
1. You have opted in to receive SMS through TrustLine.
2. The conservator has approved the contact relationship.
How to opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any TrustLine SMS. After you opt out, TrustLine will block future outbound SMS to your number for the relevant TrustLine messaging program.
